If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, naturally beautiful place to spend some time at, if you want to get away from the maddening crowd and slow down and refresh, rediscover yourself, then Tapovan Ashram is the right place for you.

Since the ashram is intended to provide a conducive setting for peaceful contemplation and not be an alternative for a hotel or tourist resort, clean but basic accomodation has been made available to visitors. The regular inhabitants of the ashram try and live in as eco-friendly a way as possible. There are no hi-tech electronic devices like TV, broadband internet, AC etc. The rooms have simple beds, light and fan, some storage space and toilet. One or two electric sockets with 220 V,50 Hz electric supply are provided in each space. Electric supply though may be erratic.

There are two types of accomodation available –

Dormitory beds with shared bathrooms (separate for gents and ladies) – INR 400 per person per night

Private room (2 beds) with attached bathroom – INR 1000 per night. Extra bed INR 500 per night.

To make a confirmed reservation you should contact us with your planned dates of stay and then we will instruct you to pay a non-refundable advance amount into any branch of our bank in the city where you are located in India at the time of the reservation.

If you do not wish to make a reservation, then you may contact us just before you plan to actually stay at the campus and we can let you know if accomodation is available at that time.

Swimming pool can be filled up on request (subject to water availability) for a fee, please contact us. The water collected in the pool is later used to irrigate our orchard, so we don’t add any chemicals in the water and it doesn’t get wasted.

To keep costs low, a common kitchen has been provided with basic resources needed for cooking. The visitors can cook their own food and clean up after the meal and will be charged Rs.300 per day towards food and gas expenses. If you wish to have your food cooked and served by a cook then there will be a charge of Rs.500 per person per day for 3 simple vegetarian meals.

The ashram follows a strict code of conduct and any violations are firmly dealt with.
